Sister Frennn Homemade Almond Meal

hi frennn! So, a pack of Almond Meal is anywhere between $9-$22 depending on the quality/brand you buy. There are so many delicious recipes that use almond meal for things like breading chicken, eggplant, or even making crusts for desserts. It can also be used as a substitute for bread crumbs. I always have Almond meal on hand because I make homemade almond milk weekly. If I am too busy to throw the pulp from the almond meal into the oven, I also just compost it back into my garden.

If you make your own almond milk – stop throwing out that pulp.

Just put the wet pulp on some parchment paper on a cookie sheet, put the oven on 200 degrees Fahrenheit and let it dry out. It takes several hours. Make sure the pulp is completely dried out before processing it in the food processor. You want to avoid mold.
